wow, just wow.
i live in rio and i plan on spending some time around south america in jan./feb. 2009 and i came here beacuse i wanna travel to cape town since, well, 2007 maybe.
i'll consider a freight as a possibility.
i liked a lot your descriptions of bombaim. (i read your whole diary.) there's a book, "the weight of heaven", that has a chapter opening just like that. for some reason i'm not very attracted to india, even though asia is my top 1 dream destination (esp. thailand & cambodia).
i'm glad you enjoyed rio and sad for the stolen sunglasses. this happens every day. (and to run after the mugger is not advisable at all.)
i know this blog is "finished", but i hope you catch my words, because i'm amazed at all the things you were able to see and accomplish.
